Institutional Ethics

The Institutional Ethics Committee of Willis Knighton Health is an interdisciplinary group of clinical healthcare providers, community representatives and nonmedical professionals. They are formally charged by the board of trustees with intra-institutional education, community education, policy development and case consultation about ethical decisions and policies that may arise during clinical care at Willis Knighton Health.

The Institutional Ethics Committee has 18 members. Half of the members are physicians who serve in active status and good standing on one of the medical staffs of Willis Knighton Health. The other half of the members are nonphysicians who represent nonphysician healthcare providers, community representatives and nonmedical professionals.
