Dr. Miles A. Sugar, II discusses Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) on KTBS Healthline 3

June 3, 2025

When you have an aneurysm, the main blood vessel leaving your heart, the aorta, is larger than normal and can more easily rupture. Abdominal aortic aneurysms tend to be more common in men than women. Smoking is a large risk factor for any blood vessel damage. Prevention can also include early treatment when detected by a CT scan or MRI for any other health condition.

Dr. Sugar is a vascular surgeon who welcomes patients with diseases of the arteries, veins and lymphatic circulation at WK Vascular Surgery in Shreveport.
