Protect your skin with sunscreen whenever you’re outdoors this summer. You'll avoid painful sunburn and reduce your risk of skin cancer now and in the future. Enjoy a safe summer in the sun with these tips:
- Apply sunscreen at least 15 to 30 minutes before sun exposure.
- Help kids and your family apply sunscreen in those hard-to-reach places on the back and behind the neck.
- Reapply sunscreen every two hours, especially when you’re in the water.
- Use sunscreen with at least SPF 30.
