October 22, 2025It’s fall, and the holidays are around the corner. Homes will soon glow with lights and decorations. While decorating can be fun, it can also be dangerous. How dangerous? An estimated 160 people may be injured each day as they decorate their homes for the holidays. Nearly half of these accidents involve falls, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. In 2023, about 14,900 people were treated in emergency rooms for holiday decorating-related injuries. That’s not where you want to spend time during holidays!
