Low Dose CT Lung Cancer Screening Program 

The low dose CT lung cancer screening program at Willis Knighton benefits our northwest Louisiana community.

• Louisiana has the 11^th highest incidence of lung cancer and the eighth highest mortality rate due to lung cancer in the United States.
• Lung cancer is the deadliest type of cancer in Louisiana, causing almost one-third of the state’s cancer deaths.
• Screening can find cancer at an earlier stage when it is easier and less expensive to treat. Screening may also find other diseases in the chest that need to be treated.
• Low dose CT (LDCT) lung screening is quick, easy and has a minimal amount of radiation exposure. Willis Knighton Health offers LDCT lung screening to individuals who meet the established high-risk criteria.
