Wait Times
In the emergency rooms, we see the most serious cases first, not just the order in which people arrive. Patients with the most severe conditions often arrive by ambulance and may be treated before patients in the waiting room who arrived earlier. Quick treatment is important for life-threatening situations and can make a big difference in the outcome.
We understand that waiting can be stressful, but please know it’s hard to predict exact wait times. Many factors can influence your wait time, including how many people arrive at the same time, how many patients need urgent care and the complexity of each person’s condition.
First Step – Triage: When you arrive, a nurse quickly assesses your symptoms to determine how serious your condition is. This process may take a little while, depending on how many people arrive at the same time.
Treatment: Life-threatening emergencies are treated first. If your condition isn’t as urgent, you may need to wait for more tests or results, which can take longer during busy times. Our expert team provides quality healthcare for everyone as quickly as possible.
