Patient Stories

Allen Hendrix

The exciting part was seeing immediate improvement and knowing that the damage that was potentially occurring was being reversed.

Allen Hendrix was driving when he felt sharp pain on the left side of his back that took his breath away. Everything on the left side of his body drooped and went numb. He said it felt as if he’d had a blowout in his car’s left front tire. He knew the symptoms of a stroke and told the ambulance crew to take him to Willis Knighton Pierremont. The Stroke Center there was more than prepared to help him.
