Elise LaBarre
I went from waking up, stumbling around, looking for my glasses to now, I wake up, the first thing, I can see! I’ve never been able to do that as far as I can remember.
Elise LaBarre had worn eyeglasses since sixth grade. Without them, she could only see things about three inches from her face. Her ophthalmologist, Dr. Wyche T. Coleman III, of Willis Knighton Eye Institute suggested laser eye surgery (SMILE, or small incision lenticule extraction). The successful procedure eliminated the need for eyeglasses.
