Hugh Knotts thought he was doing everything right — eating well and exercising. But genetics also play a role in heart problems, and one night he found himself in the emergency room at Willis Knighton North. He was diagnosed with left anterior descending (LAD) artery blockage of 99 percent, a condition often referred to as the “widowmaker.” Thanks to Dr. Wenwu Zhang, Knotts received two life-saving stents and went home two days later.
