During a dental procedure, Lisa Woodward had a bad reaction to some medication. At Willis Knighton Pierremont, she learned she had a brain aneurysm. Dr. Wen Liu, recommended neurovascular neurosurgeon Dr. Ashish Sonig. Instead of performing traditional brain surgery, Sonig used a pipeline embolization device (PED) to divert blood flow, ultimately shrinking the aneurysm over time and preventing a rupture.
