Concussion Clinic

Sports-related concussions are a big issue. The American Academy of Pediatrics says young athletes with concussion should be managed carefully to avoid the risk of long-term symptoms and complications. All youth should be followed immediately after the injury and throughout their recovery, even if they did not lose consciousness. 

Willis Knighton Sports Medicine teams up with The Orthopaedic Clinic to offer a concussion clinic with Dr. Sylvanus Ly. Dr. Ly is a family medicine doctor with special training in sports medicine.   

His unique training also qualifies him to provide specialized care for adults who experience concussions due to falls or accidents. Dr. Ly accepts referrals from emergency and urgent care. He also accepts referrals from other physicians and direct referrals from patients.
