Financial Information

Your financial well-being is a priority at the Willis Knighton John C. McDonald Transplant Center. We accept many insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. For most patients, the majority of the transplant costs are covered by primary insurance.

During your evaluation, you’ll meet with our transplant financial coordinator. Our goal is to make sure you’re fully informed about your insurance coverage and prepared for financial challenges that may arise.

The financial coordinator guides you to assistance programs or fundraising organizations that can help with additional support. Many patients have success with fundraising and we encourage you to explore this option if it feels right for you.

Financial Assistance

Financial Assistance Policy - Plain Language Summary

As part of Willis Knighton’s commitment to health equity, we provide financial assistance to patients who are uninsured, underinsured, ineligible for government programs, or otherwise unable to pay. Our financial assistance policy offers eligible patients partial or full discounts for hospital services.

If you are not currently enrolled in a government program, our team is here to help. We can check if you qualify for assistance programs and help you through the enrollment process.

How to Apply for Financial Assistance

To determine if you qualify for financial assistance, we’ll need you to complete a financial assistance application and provide documents that show your household income and family size.

You can find our Financial Assistance Policy and Financial Assistance Application on our website. If you prefer a printed copy, contact our business office or visit one of our business office locations between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
