  • United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) is an independent, nonprofit organization that develops the requirement for OPTN.
  • Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA) is an independent, not-for-profit organ and tissue recovery agency designated by CMS to serve the state of Louisiana.
  • Donate Lifeis a not-for-profit national organization that increases organ donation. Interested parties can find information on the donation process and register to become an organ donor.
  • Explore Transplant partners with healthcare professionals to help people with kidney failure find information about transplantation and living donation.
  • Living Bank raises awareness of the need for organ donors through public education and advocacy for living donors.
  • Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients compares data for kidney transplants at Willis Knighton and the U.S.
  • National Living Donor Assistance Center is a program that pays up to $6,000 for certain expenses for living organ donors and their caregivers. Eligibility is based on the transplant recipient’s yearly household income that should not be more than 350% of the federal poverty guidelines based on their household size.
