From your first day to the end of the 12-month curriculum, you'll lay a solid foundation for your career and future advancement. Training uses leadership and preceptor and mentor relationships to ease your move from the classroom to the hospital. You’ll receive continued support from a community of professionals.

How do I qualify for the nurse residency program?

You must be a registered nurse with less than one year of experience to qualify for the nurse residency program.

How do I apply for the Nurse Residency Program?

No application is needed. Once you accept a nursing position at Willis Knighton, you’re automatically enrolled if you meet the requirements.

How does the nurse residency program affect my orientation to my unit?

It does not. Orientation to your clinical area educates you on specific skills you’ll need for your clinical area. The nurse residency program continues for a full 12 months to ease the transition into professional nursing practice.
